In addition, Allscripts requires a standalone platform that provides the necessary framework for interacting with various databases and supports various language-related components. Ultimately, the organization needed a cloud-based solution that would interoperate between Allscripts EHRs and external partners.
The result of this initiative is Hub, Allscripts’ modern, scalable back-office application. Within the hub, AllScripts is provided to improve data validation and missing customer data fields. Decision makers chose Decision Platform because it gives business users the ability to write and manage the business rules that govern the transaction processing system.
Within the Hub application, Allscripts has developed a transaction processing solution that runs in the cloud and accesses multiple databases simultaneously to search for medical data. The system then sends hundreds of messages to Allscripts EHRs and external partners. Because the solution is in the cloud and connects to multiple databases and external partners, the solution can now send many different types of messages.
Additionally, because multiple databases and products can be accessed independently, applications can translate, validate and complete data and messages faster than ever before. The new solution also reduces the need to use ASP scripts to validate and enrich rules, and also reduces the need for BizTalk to process transactions.
